Prof. Yossi Azar
Yossi Azar is a full Professor of Computer Science in Tel-Aviv university. He received his Ph.D. from Tel-Aviv University in 1989. He spent several years in Stanford, DEC and IBM and joined Tel-Aviv university in 1994. Between 2002-2004 Yossi was the chair of the department of Computer Science in Tel-Aviv university. From 2006 until 2009 he was on extended sabbatical in Microsoft Research in Redmond as visiting principal researcher.Yossi coauthored over 100 papers that appeared in journals and conferences proceeding. He has been on various conference program committees. He was both the program chair of ESA 2006 and served on the ESA steering committee. His research interests include mainly design and analysis of
combinatorial optimization algorithms. In particular problems related to resource allocation as well as issues related to algorithmic game theory.
Dr. Liad Blumrosen
Liad Blumrosen is a senior lecturer at the Department of Economics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He completed his PhD in computer science from the Hebrew University in 2006. Between 2006-2009 he was a post-doc researcher at Microsoft Research, Silicon Valley campus, joining the Hebrew University in the Fall of 2009. His research interests include computational economics, the design of electronic markets, Internet economics, game theory and microeconomics. Liad's work has been published both in Computer-Science conferences and journals, and in Economics journals.Prof. Danny Dolev
Prof. Danny Dolev got his PhD from Weizmann Institute in 1980, following it he was a postdoctoral fellow in Stanford University and a Research Staff Member in IBM Almaden Research Center. Since 1982 he is at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem where he is currently a Professor of Computer Science and has serves as the head of the School of Engineering and Computer Science during 1998-2002. Prof. Dolev has held visiting positions with IBM Research, Cornell University, and Johns Hopkins University. Prof. Dolev served as the Chairman of the Israeli National Committee for Information Technology and Infrastructure during 1994-1998.Prof. Dolev is an ACM Fellow and has published over 200 journal papers and proceeding papers in various areas of computer science with special emphasis on distributed systems. Recently he is involved, among other research areas, in the practical application of game theory to distributed environment and cryptography. He has supervised over 20 PhD graduate students and close to 40 Msc in graduate students various research areas.
Dr. Michal Feldman
Michal Feldman is a senior lecturer at the School of Business administration and a member of the Center for the Study of Rationality at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She received her PhD from UC Berkeley in 2005. After graduating, she has been awarded the Lady Davis fellowship for post-doc studies at the Hebrew University. She joined the School of Business administration in 2007, and shortly after has been awarded the Alon fellowship and the Abe Gray prize for excellence. Michal coauthored about 40 papers that appeared in journals and conference proceedings. In 2007 she received a best student paper award at the ACM Conference on Electronic Commerce. Michal serves as an associate editor in Networks and has served on various conference program committees. Her research interests lies on the border of game theory, economics, and computer science. Prof. Amos Fiat
Amos Fiat, (PhD 1987, Weizmann Institute), is a professor of computer science at Tel Aviv University and holds the chair for the analysis of algorithms. He was head of the School of Computer Science at Tel Aviv University 2006-2008.He has worked in Number Theory, Cryptography, Data Structures, Online Algorithms, Privacy, and Algorithmic Game Theory, with many collaborators. He has advised some 20 graduate students, or vice-versa. Professor Fiat has spent some years at UC Berkeley and UW Seattle, with frequent shorter visits to innumerable other universities and research institutions. He has also sinned in dabbling in entrepreneurship, with some success.
Dr. Alex Gershkov
Alex Gershkov is a senior lecturer at the Department of Economics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He received his PhD in economics from the Hebrew University in 2006. Between 2005 and 2008 he was a research fellow and 2008-09 a junior professor at the department of economicsat the University of Bonn. He joined the Hebrew University in the fall of 2009. His research interests include information economics, mechanism design and game theory.Prof. Haim Kaplan
Haim Kaplan received his Ph.D. degree from Princeton University at 1997. He was a member of technical stuff at AT&T research from 1996 to 1999. Since 1999 he is a Professor in the School of Computer Science at Tel Aviv University. His research interests are design and analysis ofalgorithms and data structures.
Prof. Ilan Kremer
Ilan Kremer is a Professor of Finance at Stanford Graduate School of Business (effective Sept 2010). In 2011 he will be join the Hebrew University as a Professor in Finance and Economics. Ilan received his PhD in Finance from the Kellogg School of Management and a BSc and MSc in Computer Science and Physics from the Hebrew University. His research interests are in the application of game theory to financial markets and his work has been published both in Finance/Economics journals as well as Computer Science journals.Dr. Ron Lavi
Ron Lavi is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management in the Technion -- Israel Institute of Technology. He completed his PhD in computer science at the Hebrew University in 2004. After graduating, he did his post-doc at the California Institute of Technolog, in the Social and Information Sciences Laboratory (SISL).He joined the Technion in 2006. His research lies on the border of Computer Science, Game Theory, and Economics. For example, he studies Internet auctions in dynamic settings, mechanisms for job-scheduling, and more abstract models of mechanism design. Ron has published in the top economics journals (e.g. a paper in Econometrica) as well as in the
top CS conferences and journals (e.g. a paper in the JACM). In 2009 he received a best paper award at the 10th ACM Conference on Electronic Commerce.
Prof. Ehud Lehrer
Ehud Lehrer is a full professor in the department of Statistics and Operations Research in Tel-Aviv University. He received his Ph.D. from The Hebrew University in 1987. From 1987 until 1996 he was a professor at Kellogg Graduate School of Management in Northwestern University. At 1990 he joint Tel Aviv University where he served as a chair of department of Statistics and Operations Research. Prof. Lehrer is a fellow of the Econometric Society and a council member of the Game Theory Society.Prof. Lehrer has published over 60 journal papers in a variety of game theoretic fields. A special emphasis has been put in his research on repeated interactions with and without machines, with and without complete information and on learning. Prof. Lehrer is an editor of Games and Economic Behavior and was an associate editor is some prominent journals of game theory. He supervised a dozen of Masters students and half a dozen of graduate students.
Prof. Shie Mannor
Shie Mannor received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering, the B.A. degree in mathematics, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel, in 1996, 1996, and 2002, respectively. From 2002 to 2004, he was a Fulbright scholar and a postdoctoral associate at M.I.T. He has been with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at McGill University since 2004 where he was a Canada Research chair in Machine Learning. He has been a Horev Fellow and an associate professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Technion since 2008.

Prof. Yishay Mansour
Prof. Yishay Mansour got his PhD from MIT in 1990, following it he was a postdoctoral fellow in Harvard and a Research Staff Member in IBM T. J. Watson Research Center. Since 1992 he is at Tel-Aviv University, where he is currently a Professor of Computer Science and has serves as the head of the School of Computer Science during 2000-2002. Prof. Mansour has held visiting positions with Bell Labs, AT&T research Labs, IBM Research, and Google Research.Prof. Mansour has published over 50 journal papers and over 100 proceeding paper in many various areas of computer science with special emphasis on communication networks and machine learning. Recently he is involved in algorithmic game theory. Prof. Mansour is currently an associate editor in a number of distinguished journals and has been on numerous conference program committees. He was both the program chair of COLT (1998) and served on the COLT steering committee. He has supervised over a dozen graduate students in various areas including communication networks, machine learning and algorithm design.
Prof. Seffi Naor
Prof. Seffi Naor received his Ph.D. in 1987 in computer science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He spent a post-doc at the University of Southern California(1987-1988) and at Stanford University (1988-1991). He is currently a professor of computer science at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, where he has been on the faculty since 1991. Professor Naor is a frequent visiting scientist at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs, and Microsoft Research. During 1998-2000 he was a member of the technical staff at Bell Labs, and during 2005-2007 he was a visiting researcher at Microsoft Research. Professor Naor's research interests are mainly in the design and analysis of efficient algorithms, in particular approximation algorithms for NP-Hard algorithms and on-line algorithms, algorithmic game theory, and complexity theory. Professor Naor has published over 90 papers in top professional journals and conferences. He is currently on the editorial board of the Journal of Discrete Algorithms and he has been on the program committee of numerous conferences. He has won several awards including the 2007 Pat Goldberg Memorial best paper award given by IBM Research.
Prof. Noam Nisan
Prof. Noam Nisan has received his Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley in 1988, had a postdoc in MIT, and is now a full professor of Computer Science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He has done significant work in Complexity Theory and in the last ten years has been working in Algorithmic Game Theory and in particular in Algorithmic Mechanism Design, a field that he has in fact founded. He has written several books as well as many widely cited research papers. He is editor in several professional journals, has been on the program committee of numerous conferences, including serving as chair for ACM EC (2003), is a frequent invited speaker to conferences, and has won several awards including the ACM distinguished dissertation award and the Bruno award for 2004. During 2007--2009 he has been on sabbatical in Google Tel-Aviv working on significant Ad Auction projects.Prof. Zvika Neeman
Zvika Neeman is an Associate Professor in the Eitan Berglas School of Economics at Tel Aviv University. Zvika received his PhD in Managerial Economics and Decision Science from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 1995. He was a member of the economics department faculty of Boston University from 1995 to 2009 and a member of the department of economics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 2000 to 2003. In 2006 Zvika joined the Berglas School of Economics at Tel Aviv University, and he has been Head of the School since last year.
Zvika's research focuses on mechanism design, but he is also interested in and has written on microeconomic theory more generally, in law and economics, and in other fields in economics. Zvika has been the author and co-author of more than 30 papers and has been on the organizing committee of several conferences of the Econometric Society.
Dr. Gal Oestreicher-Singer

Gal Oestreicher-Singer is Assistant Professor at Tel Aviv University's Recanati Graduate School of Business Administration. Her research studies the effects of visible networks on electronic markets and the economics of digital rights management. Her prior research has won the 2008 ACM SIGMIS Best Dissertation Award, the INFORMS CIST Best Paper Award, the ICIS Best Overall Paper award, the EU Marie Curie Early Career award, the Google and WPP Marketing Research Awards, and the MSI-WIMI User Generated Content Research Competition Award. She received her Ph.D. from NYU in 2008, and holds degrees in law and electrical engineering from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv University.
Prof. Ariel Orda
Prof. Ariel Orda received the Ph.D. from the Technion in 1991. He has been a regular visitor at Columbia University, Bell Labs and IBM Watson. He is a full professor and the Herman and Gertrude Gross Chair in Communications at the Department of Electrical Engineering in the Technion. His research interests include the application of game theory to computer networking, network routing, survivability, QoS provisioning, wireless networks and network pricing.
Prof. Orda has published over 50 journal papers and over 60 proceeding papers, of which four were nominated for a "best paper" award and one was its recipient. He has received several additional awards for research, teaching and service, most recently the 2009 Henry Taub Prize for Academic Excellence. He served as Program Chair of IEEE Infocom'2002 and WiOpt'10, and has been an Editor of the IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking and of the Journal of Computer Networks. Since 2006 he is an IEEE Fellow, with the citation: "for contributions to the use of game theory for network quality of service and survivability''. He was the 2008 recipient of the Cor Wit Chair at Delft University of Technology, which is awarded annually to "a personality with international fame whose ideas are of great value to the field of telecommunications and have an impact on our society''.
Prof. Jeff Rosenschein
Prof. Jeff Rosenschein received an AB in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University (1979), and an MS (1982) and PhD (1986) in Computer Science from Stanford University. He is now a full professor of Computer Science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His research interests revolve around issues of cooperation and competition among agents, and the use of economic theory, voting theory, and game theory to establish appropriate foundations for the field of multiagent systems within artificial intelligence. He has published over 200 journal and conference papers on these topics, as well as co-authoring the book, "Rules of Encounter: Designing Conventions for Automated Negotiation among Computers" (MIT Press, 1994), which influenced the adoption of game-theoretic techniques within the field of artificial intelligence. He is currently co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems (JAAMAS), an Associate Editor of the Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research (JAIR), and chairman of the Israeli Association for Artificial Intelligence. He is a Fellow of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI), and from 2004 to 2007 served as president of the International Foundation for Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems, which sponsors the AAMAS conference (for which he was general co-chair in 2003).
Dr. Michael Schapira
Michael Schapira has a Ph.D. from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem (2008). He is currently a postdoc at Yale University and UC Berkeley and will join the School of Computer Science and Enginnering at the Hebrew University in July 2011. His research interests span Internet protocols, algorithm design and game theory. His current research work focuses on computational and game-theoretic analysis of fundamental Internet environments (e.g., routing, congestion control) and of economic markets.Prof. Eilon SolanÂ
Eilon Solan is a full Professor at the department of Statistics and Operations Research at the School of Mathematical Sciences in Tel Aviv University. He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics in 1998 from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Eilon spent two years as a faculty at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. In 2000 Eilon joined Tel Aviv University, where he was tenured at 2003.In 2007 and 2008 Eilon was the head of the Mathematical Institute at the School of Mathematical Sciences. He serves on the editorial board of several academic journals; between 2004 and 2009 he was the Area Editor for Game Theory at "Mathematics of Operations Research", which is the leading academic journal for mathematical game theory. Eilon's research interests include game theory in general, and stochastic games and stochastic processes in particular. He authored and co-authored more than 40 papers in these and other topics, co-authored the textbook "Game Theory", which provides an introduction to game theory aimed at undergraduate students in Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering, has been on several conference program committees, and has been the organizer of the first Game Theory Conference in Tel Aviv (2004), the workshop on "Stochastic Methods in Game Theory" (Erice, Sicily, 2010), and an International Conference in Game Theory (Tel Aviv, 2011). Eilon issued two patents, and provided expert consulting for several firms.
Prof. Eyal Winter
Prof. Eyal Winter finished his Ph.D. at the Hebrew University in 1989. Following graduation he moved to a Post Doc position at the University of Bonn where work with Professor Reinhard Selten, who received the Nobel Prize in Economics in 1994. He also worked at the University of Pittsburgh before returning to teach at the Hebrew University in 1991. Professor Winter is the director of the Center for the Study of Rationality at the Hebrew University, a unique research center that accommodates top researchers from 12 different disciplines. Previously he served as the chairman of the economics department at the Hebrew University. His main research interest is game theory and its applications to economics.Professor Winter held senior positions at the Washington University in St. Louis, the European University Institute in Florence, and the University of Manchester where he held a Research Professorship awarded to faculty members with exceptional research performance. He is an associate editor for the main journal in game theory, and was awarded a competitive research grant of about 2 million US dollars in total. Professor Winter has presented his research works in more than 80 academic institutions around the world. His works appear in leading journals of the profession such as Econometrica, American Economic Review, The Review of Economic Studies.
