The course introduces and compares three very different technologies for speech communications: the telephony network (PSTN), VoIP, and GSM. We will discuss differences and common design principles. A focus will be given to the way external constraints affect system design and implementation.
Homework may be submitted in pairs. Please submit your homework to Allon's mailbox (292 on the 1st floor of the Screiber building). If you submit a printed (and not scanned) exercise, you can mail it instead to speechcomm2013 -AT- gmail.com
