Advanced Topics in Computer Graphics

The course will cover various aspects of "advanced" graphics algorithms: sampling theory, antialiasing, warping, morphing, mesh compression, animation, radiosity, ray tracing, volume rendering, solid modeling, free-form modeling, image-based rendering, wavelets and multiresolution rendering. The focus will be primarily on antialiasing methods, morphing techniques, image-based rendering, visibility, compression techniques and volume rendering. The other topics will be described in more abstract terms. Requirements: One project and attendance.
