Research interests in human visual processing:

    Research methodology:

  • The research is done at the lab of my co-supervisor Prof. Rafael Malach at the Weizmann Institute of Science Weizmann Institute of Science (Israel), we focus on relating neuronal activity and sensory perception in the human brain.

  • The tecnology used in my research is intracranial recording from subdural electrodes (ECoG) in epileptic patients, done in collaberation with Prof. Itzhak Fried at Tel-Aviv Sourasky Medical Center.
    Main research questions:

  • Understanding the major componants of the intracranial Local Field Potential (LFP) signal, meaning: Visual Evoked Potential (VEP), Gamma oscillation, and Event Related Desynchronization (ERD).

  • Correlation between measurements of fMRI and LFP , during natural audio-visual stimulus in human at different areas of the cortex .

  • Computer simulations of synchronization and desynchorization effects among cortical subnetworks.
