Membership Benefits

Recruiting

As a member of our Affiliates Program, you have increased access to our students for full-time and summer job recruiting. Up to twice a year we will provide conference room space in our building, where you will be able to give a technical presentation and conduct job interviews with our students. The School will notify the students of these meetings in advance. Following the initial interview sessions at the School, contact with the students will be made directly through your organization.

Members of our Affiliates Program will be able to offer job opportunities and various types of fellowships to our students on a regular basis, by means of a special bulletin board allocated specifically for this purpose. The bi-annual employee recruitment meetings will also be advertised through this board.

Involvement in the School Agenda and Access to Faculty

Membership enables direct contact with relevant faculty members for discussions about research, students, curriculum, and other related topics. The school's faculty and our Affiliates will convene annually for a special forum in which joint industry-academia issues will be discussed. As part of the forum, the CS school's faculty members will present their research and teaching plans, whereas our Affiliates can raise challenges and problems currently tackled by the industry, and provide feedback about the school's teaching programs.

Access to Research Results

Access to our faculty's research results will be made feasible in the following ways:

Direct support of Faculty research and direct interaction with specific faculty members.

Actively participating in the CS School's weekly colloquium, where distinguished researchers and leading personalities in the industry, both from Israel and abroad, give talks on a weekly basis.

Actively participating in the judges' panel of the School's annual Outstanding Workshop Project Competition.

Attending the School's weekly seminars and lectures, which are updated regularly in the Bulletin Board of the CS School's web site.

Participation in joint industry-academia forum meetings held periodically and featuring lectures by eminent personalities in the industry.

Visibility

Your organization name and (at your request) company logo are displayed on our Affiliates Web page. You may also include a link to your organization's Web page. Your company name and logo will also appear on a special "Industrial Affiliates" plaque in the CS building lobby.

Subject to your decision, you may add to your official company logo the caption: "Member of Tel Aviv University's School of Computer Science Industrial Affiliates Program".

Job offers and other Company announcement can be put on the IAP bulletin board for direct access by students and faculty.

Teaching

Subject to meeting academic criteria, members of the Affiliates Program can enjoy the following teaching opportunities:

Giving a summer course for students which focuses on a specific topic determined by your company.

Taking an active part in teaching some of the school's regular courses.

Mentoring undergraduates in their applied workshop project.

Mentoring of a graduate student thesis jointly with a faculty member.
