Introduction to your (real or imagined) PhD dissertation

• 10-12 pages of text, not counting footnotes, figures, tables, references, etc., all of which should be included as needed.
• Should include the following:
  1. Statement of thesis
  2. Description of problem
  3. Motivation
  4. Background
  5. Method
  6. Overview of results/plan
  7. Example(s)
  8. Significance
• Use TAU thesis format (A4 paper, 11 pt, 1.5 spacing, large margins). 
• Sample thesis here. (This may be updated over the next few weeks, so consult the latest one.)
• LaTeX style files here. (This may be updated over the next few weeks, so use the latest one.)
  
• If using Word, then please create/use an identical template.
• The chapter must be perfect in all respects.
  
• Send source files and pdf as separate attachments.
• Include your name in the filenames.
  
• Suggestions regarding improvements to the TAU format will be appreciated.
